Family Resource Center (FRC)

School-Age Enrichment Program at Totoket Valley Elementary School

Erin Collins - Site Coordinator

(203) 484-1459

The mission of the Family Resource Center’s School-Age Enrichment Program is to provide a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for all children.  We will strive to create and provide an age appropriate and enjoyable environment.  The children will develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and a good self-image through structured programming of planned activities, as well as individual choice.

The program is staffed with a Head Teacher and Teacher Assistants.  The Head Teacher is responsible for planning all activities. We maintain a 10:1 Teacher to student ratio at all times.  Teachers are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Epi-Pen.

Our goals and objectives are:

-          To provide a quality program that is available during times school is not in session and that is affordable and accessible to families needing the service.

-          To help children make friends and learn how to get along with others.

-          To provide activities that offer opportunities for choice and success for each child in the program.

-          To work cooperatively with parents toward common goals for their child/children.

Our program is open Monday – Friday starting at 7:00 am for the Before School Program and then again at school dismissal time until 6:00 pm for the After School Care Program.

For program registration information or further program information please contact the Family Resource Center office at (203) 484-4243 or by e-mail,
